Investigation
|
 |
We began our investigation on the first floor, in the chapel. We experienced no activity, and had no unusual EMF readings. Also, nothing to report on the second floor.
We then walked up the stairs to the third floor. As soon as we got to the top of the stairs, Judy became ill to her stomach. As soon as we left the area, she felt fine. No one else reported feeling anything. In the hallway we started getting very high EMF readings, but were quickly able to debunk them, as we found a lot of electrical wiring in the walls.
We then entered the room that housed the displays of the ways that they used to treat the patients. Such things as the human hamster wheel and the ice dunking tank. When we investigated what was called the Tranquilizer Chair, (see photo at left), we began to get some very interesting EMF readings. The Tranquilizer Chair was used to restrain a patient who became too unruly. They would strap them in, completely immobilizing them. Their eyes and ears would be covered, basically isolating them from all outside contact. It was basically a torture device. When we scanned the chair with the EMF, we got some very high readings, which would then disappear, then reappear. This is what we are looking for, a reading that comes and goes, or moves around, because if the reading is stationary, it must have an electrical source. There was nothing in the area that could possibly be the source of these readings.
After finishing our investigation of the third floor, we travelled to the basement and the Morgue. The Morgue is a small room, with just a stainless steel table, and a couple of drawers for the bodies. We did some EVP work here, but had no experiences.
We then left the museum and headed to the cemetery (see photo below). The cemetery sets on the edge of the prison, which is still active. It is kept nice and clean, but still has a sad feeling to it. There are hundreds of markers, but few names. Most of the markers have only numbers on them, so the people buried there seem lost and forgotten. We did EVP work here, but experienced no activity.
We then wrapped our investigation and returned home to begin our review of the evidence.

Evidence Review
|
| |
We began our evidence review by going over all of the photos that we had taken. We found nothing out of the ordinary there. We then watched the video, and again, discovered nothing. The last part of our review was of our Digital Voice Recordings. Again, we discovered no EVP's or unusual noises.

Conclusion
|
| |
Upon reviewing all of our evidence, the only piece of evidence that we would consider possibly being of a paranormal source, was the EMF readings from the Tranquilizer chair. It is very possible that the horrors associated with this chair have left an imprint upon it. Other than that, we found no evidence that would allow us to conclude that there is any paranormal activity occurring at the Glore Psychiatric Museum. The cemetery is a sad place, but we were unable to make contact with any spirits there. So our final conclusion is that the Glore is not a haunted place, although it is a very interesting museum to visit. Thanks to Jackie Lewin for allowing us this opportunity.
